Paws in the Park T&C's

Event Overview


The Roundwood Vets and Roundwood Pet Hospice charity dog walk, Paws in the Park, is an organised event aimed at promoting wellness for both pet owners and their pets, while also raising money for a good cause. Participants are invited to join us for a scenic 2km walk with their dogs around Roundwood Park, enjoying a day out while contributing to a good cause. Participation Terms

Dog Leashes:

 

  • All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times during the event. This is to ensure the safety of all participants, both pet owners and dogs.


Owner Responsibility:
 

  • Pet owners are fully responsible for their dogs' behaviour and must ensure they are under control at all times.

  • Owners must clean up after their dogs. Please bring your own waste bags and dispose of them in designated bins.

ID Tags:
 

  • It is a legal requirement for all dogs to wear an ID tag with the owner's contact information. Ensure your dog is properly tagged before attending the event.


Zero Tolerance for Harassment:
 

  • Any form of harassment towards staff, volunteers, or other participants will not be tolerated. Respect and courtesy are expected from all attendees.


Transportation:
 

  • Pet owners are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the event. Ensure you plan your journey in advance to arrive on time.


First Aid:
 

  • First aid staff will be available during the event. However, pet owners are responsible for their own well-being and that of their pets. Please bring any necessary medications or special items you or your pet may need.


Hydration and Nutrition:
 

  • Participants must bring their own water and snacks to stay hydrated and energised throughout the walk. Ensure you have enough supplies for both yourself and your dog.


Health and Safety:
 

  • Each participant is responsible for their own health and safety, as well as the safety of their pets during the event. Be mindful of the weather conditions and any potential hazards along the route.

  • Participants must follow the route of the event, on the path around Roundwood Park. You must not veer away from the route. You must obey directions from staff members as any specific guidance and directions they provide will be for your own safety, your pet's safety and that of others.

  • Ensure your dog is fit and healthy to participate in the walk. If in doubt, consult your veterinarian prior to the event.


Event Changes:
 

  • The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the event details, including the route and schedule, if necessary. Participants will be notified of any changes in advance.


Photographs and Media:
 

  • By participating in the event, you consent to photographs and videos being taken that may be used for promotional purposes by Roundwood Vets and Roundwood Pet Hospice.

 

Liability:

 

  • Roundwood Vets, Roundwood Pet Hospice and their affiliates are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during the event. Participants and their pets attend at their own risk.


Emergency Procedures:
 

  • In case of an emergency, follow the instructions of event staff and first aid personnel. Familiarise yourself with the location of first aid stations and emergency contact numbers.

Donations and Fundraising

 

Donation Processing:

​

  • All donations must be made through our JustGiving fundraising page. Roundwood Vets is not liable for any funds lost due to donations made elsewhere by accident or due to scams. Ensure you use the correct and official donation link provided.


Donation Matching:

​

  • Roundwood Vets will match all donations made to our JustGiving fundraising page up by the date of the event (15 September 2024), to a maximum of £1,000. This is a wonderful opportunity to double the impact of your contribution.

Suggested Donation:

​

  • While there is no entry fee to participate in the event, we suggest a donation of £15 to help support our charitable cause. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.


Non-refundable Donations:

​

  • Please note that all donations are final and cannot be refunded.

 


Acceptance of Terms


By participating in the Roundwood Vets and Roundwood Pet Hospice charity dog walk, Paws in the Park, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Your cooperation ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
