We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Deputy Practice Manager to join our team.
Position Overview
As the Deputy Practice Manager at Roundwood Vets, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Practice Manager in the day-to-day operations of our veterinary clinic while embodying our core values. This role will also encompass reception duties, ensuring that our front desk operates efficiently and provides exceptional customer service. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated team of veterinarians, nurses, and support staff to ensure the smooth and efficient running of our practice. Your strong leadership skills, organisational abilities, and passion for animal care will be vital in helping us maintain our high standards of service, guided by our values.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Practice Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the clinic while upholding our values.

Manage and coordinate the scheduling of appointments, surgeries, and staff shifts with a focus on teamwork and conscientiousness.

Ensure all equipment within the practice is serviced as scheduled and working as it should.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and industry standards.

Promoting a culture of growth and learning.

Provide leadership and guidance to support staff, including receptionists and the nursing team, promoting teamwork and fun in the workplace.

Perform reception duties, including handling client inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing exceptional customer service.

Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating team members, emphasising the importance of conscientiousness and honesty.

Collaborate with the Practice Manager to develop and implement practice policies and procedures that align with our values.

Assist in financial management, including budgeting and billing, with a focus on growth and transparency.
Skills
-
Previous experience in a veterinary practice management role or a similar leadership position.

Strong organisational and multitasking skills, demonstrating conscientiousness in all tasks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, emphasising honesty in interactions.

Computer Literate including Excel.

Previous experience in sales and customer service is advantageous.

A passion for animal care and welfare, aligning with our core values.

Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a focus on teamwork and fun.

Organisation, accuracy and attention to detail is extremely important for this position.

Understanding of veterinary industry regulations and compliance.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, supporting a culture of growth.
Education

University Degree/ Animal Health Qualification or previous demonstrable management experience.
